Research Officer (RRSC)/ Special Officer (Ahom Studies): The pay scale starts from Rs.22,000/- to Rs.97,000/- with a Grade Pay of Rs.11,800/- per month.

Education Qualification
Research Officer (RRSC): The candidate must have a Post Graduate Degree with a minimum of 55% of Marks in the History of Assam. Candidates with having Doctorate Degree in History, preference will be given to this person. And also, weightage will be given to the person having official as well as research experience.
Special Officer (Ahom Studies): The candidate must have a Post Graduate Degree in History from a recognized University. Also must have a certificate/ Diploma in Ahom-Tai from a recognized University (For more details please read the official notification).

The candidate must be an Indian Citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.
