This Scheme is divided into two parts; Kanyashree-I (K1): A financial grant of Rs.1000 per annum is given to unmarried girls between the age of 13 to 18 years studying in class VIII in a Government Recognized regular educational institution, and Kanyashree-II (K2): A one-time grant of Rs 25 thousand is given to unmarried girls above 18 years and below 19 years studying in the same institution.
